Mercedes Benz Unimog Centre is a growing business based in Molendinar on the Gold Coast. We are currently looking to have an experienced diesel mechanic/technician join our team.
This role is on a casual basis to start off with (40+ hours/week), with the possibility of being employed full time.
The successful applicant must be able to work autonomously, take initiative, work well in a team and also follow instruction to a high standard. You must be task driven with a “can do” positive attitude. Your role will consist of general servicing and maintenance, to mechanical repairs and full rebuilds. This will be on both new and old trucks.
To be successful in this position, you must:
- Be familiar with European trucks, more specifically, Mercedes Benz Trucks.
- Be able to run diagnostics (including electrical diagnostics).
- Use the latest diagnostics equipment.
- Own mechanical tools required.
To be successful in this position, you must:
- Good communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
- MR License.
- Forklift Licence preferred.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
- Complete jobs to a high standard.
- Attention to detail.
- Qualified and experienced diesel mechanic/technician.
- Good computer skills.
Not only will you be working as a mechanic/technician but there is a possibility that you will need to complete other varying workshop tasks. You should be versatile and open to these opportunities and be willing to learn new, useful skills to help you grow as an employee and us as a business.
